There are six types of installment agreement programs, which I will briefly explain in no particular order. - Guaranteed installment agreement: For taxpayers who owe less than $10,000, this program allows the debt to be paid off within three years. - Streamline installment agreements: This program has two types. The first is for taxpayers who owe less than $25,000, with a payment period of six years. No financial information is required. The second type is for taxpayers who owe between $25,000 and less than $50,000, with a payment period of six years. Some minimal financial information may be required.
